Can someone help me with my car audio system?

I have a one 10" Kicker L5 solo-baric that is currently hooked up to a Directed 250. I'm going to pick up a Rockford amp 500 watts. I'm trying to get clean quality sounding bass here. more about the clarity. not something that will wake the dead...
