Can very early pregnancy cause food to taste odd?

its still early so i dont want to test yet. im just watching what it happening with my body that was not like that before. this morning i made me breakfast, i had french toast, with some syrup, well the syrup tasted sour and the french toast had no taste. but everyone elts says it tasted good. can this be normal or could something elts cause this?
