How can i change my screen name?

WHEN I TYPE ON THE IM SCREEN I WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO SEE PBMKBCB83 NOT MY NAME . HOW CAN I CHANGE THIS BACK? I DID DO AN UPGRADE BUT I DON'T THINK I AGREED TO PEOPLE SEEING MY NAME BEING SEEN. PLEASE HELP AND THANK YOU = )
