How can i see my messages in the dialog box?

I have called yahoo tech support ; I've disabled firewalls; IM works from other websites just not yahoo. When I click on a contact, the dialog box opens, I type my msg in the lower box, hit send, wait, and along the bottom it says my contact is typing...

I have suffer this 4 days ago until now... I can see messages that Im typing BUT when i press the enter button suppose to be it will go to the chat box but i didn't see anything in there... even all the receive messages and smileys... it is totally blank...
