How do I e-mail an entire folder of pictures?

I want to send a whole folder of pictures as attachments in an email. How can I do this without having to attach every picture one by one?

I have 16 pictures in a folder and I'm trying to send the entire folder (9mb) but it is making me break it down by picture and send them as seperate attachments. How do I send the whole folder at one time?

I can't seem to be able to do that unless I create a compressed (zipped) file. Then I can attach It. is that normal? How can I attach a folder from My pictures to email without creating a zip file?
