How do I get rid of addresses on my address bar?

The ID BAR comes on with only "Insert Addresses...." but doesn't take me to my Address Book. Sometimes it DOES work intermittently, usually when I 1st turn on my computer but after 1-2 applications it does not. This A.M. I got it to work once...

the address bar is there. I did not delete history. All the prior addresses have disappeared. Why do they not show up. How can i correct?

I deleted it recently.

instead of being able to type in an address and then going directly to it, I now have to go thru the web search and scan 50 different addresses. how do I get old address bar back

Confused on "Personal Address" - it says you can get a personal domain name with 5 addresses, but then says that each new address must have an existing Yahoo!Mail account.... which makes it sound like a forwarding service - ie, you get 5 addresses...

ie. when i enter "u" only in the address bar, past history "http:" addresses show directly below the address bar. I want to delete all of these addresses. please suggest how this is done.

Okay, so my address bar is gone. I tried fixing it by going to View<Toolbars<Address bar, but when I got to the toolbars menu, there was no address bar option! I tried restarting my computer, too. that didnt work. Why is my address bar gone?
