How do I pull up a chat log on Yahoo Messenger?

i can"t log on to yahoo chat from from my yahoo messenger. normally i used to log on to the chat room from my messenger but now i can"t.

each time i try to log into chat rooms , yahoo closes , i log out , re- log in a different room with the same response

I log off from yahoo mail before logging onto yahoo msgr.. I log on for a second and I get logged off immediately..
