I have completed my B. Tech from a NIT in 2014. I want to build a career in the field of finance and economics. Where and how do I start?

I am in awe with the concepts of Finance that i have come to know so far, yet I am like a deer caught in the headlight. There are so many options to choose from!!! You could suggest me a book that I should read or a person whom i can contact who would have a better knowledge or an internship that i could take to gain experience.
