How long does it typically take for modern day stitches to heal?

It's been a month since I gave birth to DD and I bled for 2 weeks and stopped but as of like 3 days ago I started mildly bleeding again like brownish blackish...and when I wipe it's burning and itching, I know it's very weird to do but I wanted to see...

I got 4 stitches and i'm going to get them removed with 6 days to heal. Is that enough time for a cut that needed 4 stitches to heal? Also, do they hurt when they are removed?

i had an injury on 1st October, had to get 8 stitches on the knee. they have begun to heal, although there is still swelling in the joint. i have been on antibiotics for 7 days now. initiaaly, my doc said 7 days until we take the stitches off.
