How to print black and white pics?

So I scanned 20 pics in jpg format using irfanview from my HP printer. And attached them to an email but the recipient cant print the pictures.Should I rescan them in JPEG format instead? How will she be able to print the pics?

I hav a bunch of pics on my iPod touch that I wanted to print. I know that if I put them on a computer I can get them printed off at Walmart. But is there a way I can plug my iPod in at one of those pic machines at Walmart and jus get them printed off...
