What are the best ski resorts in Denver?

I am traveling to colorado springs/pikes peak area to stay with someone at the end of december; I want to snowboard while I'm there and was wondering if you know of any resorts/locations that are within 70-100 miles of that area? I am flying into denver...

any additional advice on transporting snowboards on a plane or which resorts to go to in the area?

I have been searching for some sort of public transportation to take me to the ski resorts but I can't find anything! If there isn't anything, there needs to be! Oh and I live in the Denver Metro Area. Even something within 30 miles of me would suffice...
