Printer for university student?

I need to change my printer. I'm currently using the old Canon i455 - not so good quality, rather slow, and tint wears off fast. Can anyone please recommend me a one that is of decent quality (even in Draft mode), FAST (most important), and tint doesn't have to be changed too often. Any price is alright, but I don't really need a printer with LCD and those stuff - I basically just need something that is just alright. Your recommendation will be very helpful. Thank you! :)
