Why can I send a text to my email but not an email as a text to my phone?

I want to add some pictures to my phone to use as backgrounds, can I send a email as a text to my phone and not as an email? I can't use data.

my bf has a verizon phone. my cell is off at the moment, so i want to send him a text via emailing. what would be the correct way to send it to him? i.e. 4047778888@verizon.net? for the place where it says verizon.net, what would i put down for the email...

I can send emails from my phone to my email.. but can i do the opposite? I have a KRZR and i have Verizon!

i want to talk to someone through their phone but not through another email account just through their phone number, i know its possible i just can't remember how to get there please help

I know you have to put your number and then a certain email address for example 1111111111111@verizonwireless.com, something like that, ive tried that but nothing. Any help. The email im sending its from my computer, to my cell as a text. thanks
