Why can't I open any rar files?

I dowloaded a game which has 80 rar files. So I used Nero to burn first 40 files to one dvd and second 40 files no another dvd. I draged and droped the files. But the problem is that when I copy files from those dvds to my second pc there are all rars...

I sometimes try to download E-Books or other sorts of data and they come up as .RAR files and I cant seem to open them what program do I need to opne that kind of file >>(.RAR) ?
