Why do my eyes burn when I'm on the computer?

im not on all day or anything but when i do get on for a few hours my eyes burn like hell..

For some odd reason if I stare at my computer screen for over a minute I get this really sharp stinging pain in my eyes and then I have to close them. It's really strange why is that?

I would just be sitting on the couch, not close at all, and my eyes would start burning like im tired or not enough water over them. this also comes along with a headache.
