Why won't my iPod Shuffle charge?

ok so my friend gave me he ipod shuffle 2nd gene and she didn't gave me her cable so i went to walmart and bought one i plugged it into the comp and it wont show up anywhere ive tried plugin it to another computer and still wont work!!!!!! help me please...

okay.. this is what happened.. i was charging my on the computer.. and it was okay... then after a few hours.. my battery died... i first used the ipod portable charger.. i pluged it in the socket.. and nothing happened... i pluged it in to the computer...

i plug it in and the light blinks but it wont charge.

i have a shuffle 3rd gen and it has been dead for a while just got a new charger and so i plug them into my pc and i hear the beep when you connect something to the computer but it doesn't show on Itunes or no folder pops up and the light isn't blinking...

My iPod Shuffle just doesn't charge off my PC. I disabled the "Use iPod as an external drive" or whatever that option is so that the computer uses it like a Shuffle (which I assume means charge it). Everything on the web talks about connecting...

I have both an iPod Mini and an iPod Shuffle, and I have a wall charger for the Shuffle, which is so much more practical than plugging it into a computer everytime it needs charging. Can I put this charger into the headphone socket of the iPod Mini,...

My ipod shuffle has been charging for 22 hours so far and is still charging. Is this normal? And how long does it take to fully charge an ipod shuffle? When i started charging it, it was completely dead.
