Windows Live Messenger/MSN wont work?

heyy i installed the new windows live messenger 2009 which works fine. i then downloaded the new plus live update and it isnt showing up on my msn? please help me x

hi msn live ,essenger wont let me send a message to one specific person and she doesnt have me blocked because she can talk to me but when i try to talk to her its says cannot sent message to all recipients.
