Does anybody know how to make a graffiti marker?

I just bought 3 packages of these markers with the bonus, highlighters, and right out of the package the marker is dry and will not write. Anybody have this problem? Water isnt working to make it work either.

im really good at makeing pictures, but when it comes to letters i cant figure out how to wrtie my name. i also want to know how to tag in marker. im not vandalizing anything its just a hobby for my backyard and half pipe=)

I was experimenting with it a bit, and I found that if I put it to slow-synchro it works for about 2 seconds. But I need much more time. Does anybody know if there's an option to change the shutter speed on this camera? Thanks.
