How can I delete all my unread emails at once?

I want to select all of my unread e-mails and then delete them, because there are getting in the way. I know I could sort my mail so that the unread messages are all listed first, but then I would still have to go through and delete them page by page...

I want to delete all 56,000 of them at once. Not 200 at a time. Is this possible? Please help !!! Thanks. :-)

For a while it said I had 1 unread email, yet I went thru my entire emails, and it showed I had read them all. Weird. OK, well today after reading/and deleting all my new emails for today, it then said I had 2 unread emails. So obviously I read or deleted...
