How can I remove my e-mail address from Yahoo groups?

When I signed up for Yahoo years ago I was required to fill in town and sex and birth date. I believed this would be kept private. Now it appears for all to see. I tried to change it in my profile but the change does not happen.

I tried using the Yahoo! profile to remove this email address and it didn't work. I keep getting notified that I have a bouncing email address.
