How do I fix my MSN messenger?

as some of u may know, msn messenger has been forcing us to upgrade, and it wont let us sign in and use it till we do. thats all fine and dandy but everytime i try, it goes to a 71% then says there is an error and it cant access network location %APPDATA...

Last month my msn was having problems so i decided to try and un-install it and re-install it, i went to set programme access and default thingy and it was not on the list given to me, so what i did was, i went to my computer and deleted the folders...

i haven't been on Msn Messenger for months now because i upgraded my msn and it doesn't let me sign in. DAM YOU MSN PPL! any help ? any one ? thanks x
