How do I make a picture into a link?

I want to send a picture to a friend on Yahoo Answers, the picture is currently on my computer, how do I make it a link so that I can send it?

So I share a picture to my news feeds as a 'link' and people allllwaayysss 'like' the link thinking that it's the picture which it's not... So I just want to know if there's any way of perventing this without writing this as the caption 'like the picture...
