How do I modify my yahoo group's home page and add promote buttons?

it tells me to copy the info then paste it anywhere on the page. however, i can copy, but it will not allow me to select a place from the home screen and paste it. Any ideas?

I've seen 'join this group' buttons on other yahoo groups. How do I add that button? I would like membership applicants to answer some questions before I approve their membership. How can I include those questions in the membership request?
