How do you put music on a xbox 360?

Everything is in the new format on my Xbox 360 and I want to put custom music on NHL 12. I can't for the life of me put my ripped cd songs onto my hard drive. I am currently listening to it on music apps through my CD

Well, I just got my Xbox 360 yesterday and i still cant figure out how to put music from my mp3 player to the hard drive of my xbox.

i want to put music onto my xbox 360. ive tried plugging my ipod into it, but it doesnt show up on my xbox dashboard. any help would be awesome thanks!

i bought an xbox elite and i know you can put music im just not sure how to? when i used an ethernet cord it didnt save it to the hard drive, when i unhooked it, all the music just went away. please help if you can. THANK YOU!
