Why does my printer stop printing after a few lines and then eject the paper?

My HP PSC 2200 printer is printing thin (but very noticable) horizontal lines through my color pictures. The black and white ones come up fine. I also just replaced my ink cartridge. Any suggestions?

What do I do? It prints two lines, skips the next two lines, then prints the next two lines.

When I scan or try to print from computer.....my printer has decided to "spit" out the entire paper covered in black ink. Meaning, the whole background of the paper is in black ink. Please help me....I have tried putting the default seetings...
