Why won't my Xbox 360 turn off?

It was working fine until I brought it over to my friend's house and now it won't work. I have tried changing the batteries. It won't even light up it just stays off. Why?

My Xbox has been fine for ages, i have been playing black ops a lot then today i pressed the Xbox button on the controller to turn on the Xbox and the Xbox turned on but the controller wouldn't connect, so i tried syncing it but that didn't work. Then...

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but a few days ago, my power box light went red on me and I couldn't turn the xbox on. I unplugged the cord from the outlet and let it sit for a few minutes and plugged it back in and everything was fine...

So I checked my xbox and I have no active downloads but when I turn off my xbox the fans are still running and the light blinks every five seconds whats happening and how do I turn if off or fix it? P.S. I have the original xbox 360 if that matters.

my xbox 360 wont turn on the light on the box thing is orange and it wont turn on

Earlier today i dissasembled my xbox 360. I removed the rf module( the thing that turns green or red) while the power was on and then i put it back on now the 360 wont turn on. Can anybody tell me why? and how to fix it?

Its not the 3 red rings of death, it just wont turn on at all! i press the power button and no lights will go on, it just wont work, everything is plugged in, the adapter seems to be on i can see the orange light from it, but when i go to turn it on...
