How big is the slot on a USPS collection (blue) box?

I'm trying to send off a box to someone and my mail carrier already came early this morning and I missed him and the Post Office is closed so I was wondering was the biggest size box that you can fit in one of the corner blue USPS collection box?

In front of the usps, there's 3 blue collection box, what's the difference between those 3? And can I put a paid mail/small package under 13 ounces that ships international in one of those 3 collection box? But which box would I put it in if I want it...

I heard that if your postage is fully paid online and can fit into the blue collection box, the weight will not matter. Is this true?

I'll use click n ship to do the postage. And will weigh 3-5 pounds in the small box.
