I am trying to transfer video recordings from my camcorder (-which uses a mini-digital video cassette) to my laptop (runs Windows XP Home Edition). I am using a DV cable to connect the two, and am using Windows Moviemaker software. The laptop simply doesnot recognize the camera. I connect the two and turn on the camera to play mode (as the camera instruction manual says), and hit "capture from video device", I get a message saying - "No video capture device detected".
