How to get Yahoo e-mail in Outlook Express?

I have a Yahoo account and a regular Outlook Express email account. I'd like my Yahoo account to notify me via a message to Outlook Express that O have Yahoo mail. How is this done?

My default will not let me choose yahoo mail. So my primary comes up as outlook express. I need the activex icon to download and set my yahoo email as email in programs, under internet options..
