How to put a video file on to a disc?

i've made a video on videopad video editor but don't know which format to pick for downloading to dvd disc that will play on a dvd player

I want to put a .mpg video file I downloaded onto a DVD-RW disc so I can watch it on the TV, is there an easy way of doing this?
