What do I need for a digital tv tuner for the computer?

i just want to know what do i need to start watching tv from my computer. my computer has a tv tuner installed on it already, but i guess i need cords and stuff.

i have found some websites where you can watch live tv on your computer. of course u have to have a tv tuner card. so i am wondering how do i check on my computer to see if i have one. i went to hp website to get help there but no luck. thanks
